The colors of Bonaire

Panoramic shot of the amazing colors of Kralendijk, Bonaire. The snorkeling was great here as well. The water was so clear and warm.

Wailea Sunset

In my endless quest to go through my old shots and reprocess them, I found a couple more shots from Wailea a couple of years ago. I am definitely longing for a nice warm beach right now!

Tanah Lot , Bali

The Tanah Lot Temple in Bali is one of seven sea temples around the Balinese coast. The island is supposedly guarded by poisonous sea snakes, but luckily I didn't run into any of those.  I am looking forward traveling there again in a year or so.

Lynn Canyon Park

Last month I made it up to Vancouver, BC for the first time and had a great time. One of the places I made it to was Lynn Canyon Park to take a quick hike and walk across the suspension bridge. The bridge had a great view of the beautiful falls below.

Icy Abiqua Falls, Oregon

I have been having such a hard time deciding which pictures from Abiqua Falls are my favorites. It was such an awesome experience and environment that it made for some really cool pictures! This waterfall is pretty remote and a few miles down a rough unmarked road, far from cell phone reception, but luckily it wasn't too icy and my dog Duke and I made it without a problem. He had no problems scaling the steep hill down to the creek, but I had a little tougher of a time. There are ropes tied to trees at a few of the steeper sections of the trail to make it easier though.

Duke and I spent a couple of hours hanging out around the falls. Duke was unfazed by the icy water and was a little too eager to keep going in. The weather started warming as the day went on, which started causing some of the large pieces of ice to come crashing down below. We made sure to keep away from the walls at that point and finished up pretty quickly and started the steep climb back up to the car.

Check out the rest of my shots from Abiqua Falls.

Maui Sunset

I reprocessed a couple shots I took in Maui a couple of years ago trying to overcome the cold weather we are having in Oregon right now. I love the colors of the water and sky on these shots.

Frozen Abiqua Falls

I decided to take advantage of the recent cold weather that we have been having and my first trip out to Abiqua Falls. I knew that it was going to be perfect conditions for some really cool shots. I was most definitely right, It was very cool and surreal having tons of huge icicles hanging all around this big waterfall.

View of Vancouver, BC

I was up in Vancouver, British Columbia for the first time this past weekend and loved it. It was really cold, but the great scenery definitely made it worth it. The trip was mostly just for fun(not photos), but I decided that I wanted to still try and get a cool shot of the city. After lots of driving around and searching, I was able to find a spot with a good view of the city just in time for a beautiful sunset.  It did require me to climb on top of a shipping container to get it, but I think it was worth it!

Mt St Helens under the stars

This past weekend I made my first trip up to Mt St Helens to make the most of the current stretch of clear weather that we are having. It was very cool getting to see the blast zone and the altered terrain caused by the 1980 eruption. It was really windy and cold on this exposed hillside, but I think it was worth braving for this shot!
