Chronic
Chronic is a series of pictures following legal medical marijuana farmers and their gardens. I wanted to try and document and learn more about the people that were growing medical marijuana and there reasons for doing it, while putting themselves in a sort of, legal limbo, between it being legal in state, but illegal federally.
Most of the growers were patients and users of medical marijuana themselves, so i also sought out to document their preferred method of ingesting their medicine. Most said they were willing to put themselves in legal danger because they have directly experienced the benefits of Cannabis. Although everyone I documented was operating legally under their states laws, these growers face possible federal prosecution for their medicine. Undeterred, they use the latest advancements in indoor horticulture to insure the highest quality product and through selective breeding have created many different “strains” that offer benefits for many ailments. Cannabis has been scientifically proven to help for chronic pain, anxiety, depression, appetite stimulation, anti-nausea, and many other things.
